What problem does this solve?
Expanding a telehealth app into new categories or new EU countries usually means hiring doctors licensed for that work, verifying their licences, setting up prescribing for each country and staffing the review itself. Each new market repeats the work before the first patient is seen. How does the integration work?
Your app renders the Hi Doctor questionnaire for a category, uploads any photos it asks for, and submits the completed answers in one API call. The case goes to an EU-licensed doctor for asynchronous review. If the doctor needs more information, the request comes back through the API so your app can show it to the patient and send the answer; see Information requests. Partner API webhooks report every status change, and your team follows submitted consultations in the business portal.Who handles what?
Frequently asked questions
Is the review a video call?
No. The doctor reviews the questionnaire answers and any photos asynchronously, and may ask the patient a question through your app before deciding. Can we keep our own doctors for other services?
Yes. The partnership covers the consultation categories we agree with you. Your own doctors can carry on with the rest of your service.Does adding a new EU country mean a new integration?
No. The same Partner API serves every country. The countries your app offers are set in your partner agreement, and your app passes the country with each request.Who prescribes?
The EU-licensed doctor who reviews the consultation, and only where treatment is clinically appropriate. That doctor carries clinical responsibility for the decision. Can we build before going live?
Yes. Test mode lets you build and check an integration with test API keys, without creating real consultations. Live mode is enabled for each partner by Hi Doctor.Next steps
