What problem does this solve?
A pharmacy can advise and dispense, but it cannot write the prescription a treatment needs. Customers who ask for a prescription-only treatment are sent away to find a doctor, and many do not come back. Employing prescribers yourself brings its own licensing and separation questions in each country. How does the integration work?
Your website or app offers a consultation for the categories we agree with you; the categories Hi Doctor covers are listed on Treatments. Your platform collects the questionnaire answers and sends them in one API call. An EU-licensed doctor reviews the case and decides. If the doctor prescribes, the patient receives an electronic prescription where the pharmacy’s country supports it, otherwise a signed prescription document, and chooses the pharmacy that dispenses it. See Prescriptions for the structured data your platform receives.Who handles what?
Frequently asked questions
Does the prescription come to our pharmacy?
The prescription goes to the patient, not to the partner: an electronic prescription where the pharmacy’s country supports it, otherwise a signed prescription document. The patient chooses the pharmacy where they collect the medicine. Can our pharmacists see the doctor’s reasoning?
No. The Partner API reports a prescription as structured data, such as its status, the medication and its expiry. Partners never receive doctor notes or the prescription document. Is the prescribing decision independent of our pharmacy?
Yes. The reviewing doctor decides on medical grounds only, and the partner platform has no part in the decision.Does Hi Doctor sell medicine?
No. Hi Doctor is a consultation service. It does not sell, stock or ship medicine.Which treatments can we offer?
We agree the consultation categories with each partner. The categories Hi Doctor covers are listed on Treatments.Next steps
