The Hi-Doctor consultation flow — a licensed doctor reviews every case.
1
Complete a health questionnaire
You answer questions about your health, medical history, current
medication and the outcome you want. The questionnaire adapts as you go —
some questions only appear based on earlier answers.Answers are checked as they are submitted. If something makes the treatment
clinically unsuitable for you, the questionnaire stops there and explains
that it cannot proceed.A skin consultation adds one step the others do not have: you upload a
photograph of the affected area. See
photographs on a skin consultation.
2
Pay for the consultation
You pay for the medical review — either a one-off consultation or an
ongoing plan. Payment is handled by Stripe.
3
A doctor reviews your case
A registered doctor reads your answers and decides whether treatment is
appropriate. They may approve it, choose a different treatment or dose, ask
you a question first, or decline. This decision is always made by the doctor. It is never automated and never
delegated to an AI assistant.
4
Your prescription is issued and dispensed
If approved, a prescription is issued electronically and sent to a partner
pharmacy, which dispenses and ships your medication. You can download your
prescription at any time.
5
Follow-up
You keep a private message thread with the medical team. On a treatment
plan you can also track progress — weight, injections and daily notes — and
request repeat treatment when it is due.
Photographs on a skin consultation
The four dermatology pathways — acne, rosacea, melasma and anti-ageing — ask you to upload a photograph of the affected skin. It is the one step that is unique to them, and it exists because the doctor is assessing your skin from those images.1
Take the photograph
Good, even light and a steady, close view of the area. What makes a
photograph usable is covered in
how to photograph your skin.
2
Upload it in the questionnaire
One photograph per upload step. JPEG, PNG or WEBP, up to 20 MiB. The
file is stored with your consultation as a medical document.
3
Or defer it, where the pathway allows
Rosacea and melasma require a photograph — the questionnaire will not
go forward without one. Acne and anti-ageing let you choose to send
photographs later, and the consultation is then flagged for the doctor as
missing photographs.
The photograph does not change the shape of the consultation. There is no call,
no video appointment and no live review — a skin consultation is asynchronous
from end to end, like every other pathway. The doctor reads the questionnaire
and the images together and replies in your message thread.
