What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets an AI app call tools offered by another service. The app asks the service which tools exist, then calls them on your behalf. With Hi Doctor, those tools read and prepare actions on your own patient account, and only on it.Which apps can I use?

What can I ask the assistant to do?
A patient account gets tools for its own care journey:- “Start a weight-loss consultation.” The assistant asks the questionnaire one question at a time, in your language, and reads the answers back before preparing the submission.

What the connector never does
No tool approves an action on your behalf: approval happens only on Hi Doctor, after you sign in. Every consultation is reviewed in full by an EU-licensed doctor, who decides on medical grounds only. How doctors decide, and why no assistant can, is explained on Safety. Clinical eligibility is decided by Hi Doctor’s servers, so an assistant cannot talk its way past it. If a questionnaire comes back ineligible, that is a clinical result. Answering again differently to get another outcome puts the patient at risk.Building on the connector

No. Actions with consequences only prepare the action. You open an approval link, sign in on Hi Doctor and approve or decline the exact summary, and card details are only ever entered on Stripe’s page.Does the AI app see my health data?
