The Hi-Doctor MCP server is a remote connector. There is no software to install and no API key to manage — you sign in with the same email and password you use on hi-doctor.ai.

Any MCP client

The connector is a remote MCP server. Any client that supports remote servers with OAuth needs one thing — the URL:
Connector URL
There is no API key, no client ID and no secret to configure. The client registers itself and opens a Hi-Doctor approval page in your browser.
Both https://mcp.hi-doctor.ai/mcp and https://mcp.hi-doctor.ai work. The first is canonical.

Sign in and approve

1

Click Connect

A Hi-Doctor approval page opens in your browser.
2

Check the site receiving access

The box at the top names the app that will get access. Only continue if you started this from an app you trust.
3

Review the permissions and approve

Read what the app is asking for, enter your Hi-Doctor email and password, and approve.
Your password goes only to Hi-Doctor. It is never stored by the connector and never placed in the access token issued to the app.
Approving gives the connected app access to your medical records, messages and prescriptions. Only approve a connection you started yourself.

No account yet?

You do not need to leave and sign up on the website first. The approval page has a Create an account link, and the whole thing happens in the connector:
1

Create your account

Enter your email, a password and your name. Hi-Doctor emails you a one-time code.
2

Verify the code

Type the code from your inbox. There is no way to skip this, and no resend button — if the code is lost or expires, start the signup again with the same address and a fresh one is sent.
3

Approve

You land on the permissions screen and approve, exactly as an existing patient would.
Creating an account is not the same as approving the connection. You always see what you are granting and press approve yourself.
If the address already has an account you are told to sign in instead, and if it can never receive email — a hard bounce or a spam complaint — you are told to use a different address rather than being left retrying one that cannot work.

Forgot your password?

The approval page has a Forgot your password? link. It emails a reset link, which you follow on hi-doctor.ai — the reset itself finishes on the website, not in the connector. Come back and connect once you have set a new password.

Changed your mind

The approval page has a Cancel action. It returns you to the app with a proper “access denied” response, so the app knows you declined instead of waiting for an answer that never comes.

Disconnect

Remove the connector from your AI app’s connector settings at any time. The access it was granted stops working immediately.

Troubleshooting

Client-specific problems, including the Google-account case and what to do if the approval page appears to do nothing, are covered on the Claude page — the causes are the same in any client.
