Claude connects to remote connectors from Anthropic’s cloud, for every Claude client, including the web app, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps. You add the connector once to your Claude account.Pro and Max plans

Open connectors
In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, select + Add, then Add
custom connector.

Name it
Hi Doctor and enter https://mcp.hi-doctor.ai/mcp. Select
Continue, keep the default sign-in and OAuth client choices (Claude
registers itself with Hi Doctor), leave request headers empty, and select
Add.3
Connect and sign in
Select Connect. Your browser opens Hi Doctor’s sign-in page. Follow
Connect to sign in and approve.
Team and Enterprise plans
An organization Owner (or, on Enterprise, a member with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries) adds the connector first:- Go to Organization settings > Connectors and select Add.
- Hover over Custom, select Web, name it
Hi Doctorand enter the server URL, then select Continue and Add.
Use it in a conversation
Turn the connector on per conversation with the + button at the lower left of the chat, then Connectors. Claude asks before using a tool unless you choose Allow always for it. Keep confirmations on for tools that change data or can lead to a charge. To change the connector, remove it and add it again.Claude Code
Add the server from your terminal:/mcp, select hi-doctor and follow the sign-in
steps in your browser. You can also sign in from the shell with
claude mcp login hi-doctor.
Claude Code receives the sign-in result on a local callback port, chosen at
random by default. Hi Doctor accepts any port on a loopback callback, so you do
not need
--callback-port. If the browser cannot reach the callback, paste the
full URL from the browser’s address bar into Claude Code’s prompt.
Do not commit a project
.mcp.json that contains anything other than the
server name and URL. Sign-in tokens are stored by Claude Code, never in the
project file.claude -p) cannot complete a browser sign-in. Sign in
once interactively first.
What can Claude do with my account?
Claude acts as you, with the permissions you approved, using the tools in the patient tools reference. It cannot approve a consultation, prescribe or change a dose, and cannot get past the clinical eligibility checks; see what the connector never does.Disconnect
