Most Hi Doctor MCP connector problems come from an expired connection request, a client that needs to sign in again, or a permission that was not approved. A connection request is valid for ten minutes, so when in doubt, start again from your app: every new connection starts a fresh request. The tables below match each message you might see to its fix. Last reviewed: 2026-11-04

What do the messages on the sign-in page mean?

These appear on hi-doctor.ai while you sign in.

What do the messages on the approval page mean?

These appear on mcp.hi-doctor.ai after sign-in.

Which tool errors need action from me?

Every tool error also carries a correlation_id. Quote it if you contact Hi Doctor. The full error format is on Build on Hi Doctor with AI.

Frequently asked questions

My account uses Google sign-in. How do I connect?

Use Continue with Google on the sign-in page. Accounts created with Google have no password, so the password form will not work for them.

Why does it ask me to sign in when I am already signed in on hi-doctor.ai?

This is expected. Connecting an app always asks for a fresh sign-in, and it does not change your website session.

It connected the wrong account. How do I fix it?

Disconnect the connector in your app, connect again, and sign in with the account you want. Check Signed in as on the approval page before you approve.

What if the verification code did not arrive or expired?

Codes are valid for 10 minutes. Check your spam folder, then use Resend code; a new code can be sent about once a minute. After too many wrong codes, wait before trying again.

Nothing happens after “Your secure connection is ready”. What now?

Select Continue. If your browser blocked the redirect, allow it for hi-doctor.ai and try again.

The browser finished but my client still says not connected. What now?

The client did not receive the result. In Claude Code, paste the full URL from the browser’s address bar into the Claude Code prompt (never into an email or a shared chat), or run /mcp and authenticate again. In other clients, remove the server and add it again.

Why is a tool missing?

Tools appear only when you approved their permission. If a permission is missing, for example on an older connection, disconnect and connect again, and approve it.

Why do I see no patient tools?

The patient tools appear only for a patient account. Disconnect, connect again and sign in with the account you use on hi-doctor.ai.

Why does the progress journal say it is unavailable?

Run the progress status tool first. The journal is offered with weight-loss treatment and may need an active subscription.

Why does a list seem incomplete?

Results come one page at a time and are capped in size. While has_more is true, call the tool again with offset set to next_offset.
