How does Hi Doctor work?
Hi Doctor collects the medical information, puts it in front of a doctor who is licensed to decide, issues a prescription a pharmacy can dispense, and keeps the conversation open afterwards.1
Answer a health questionnaire
The patient answers questions about their health, medical history and
current medication. The questionnaire adapts to earlier answers, and it
stops when an answer makes a treatment clinically unsuitable.

Pay the consultation fee
Payment covers the medical review only and happens on Stripe’s checkout
page. If the doctor does not approve treatment, the fee is refunded.

An EU-licensed doctor reviews the case and decides
The doctor reads the whole case. They can approve, choose a different
treatment or dose, ask a question first, or decline. Declining is a normal
outcome.

Use the prescription at a pharmacy
If the doctor prescribes, the patient receives a prescription they can use
at a pharmacy. The pharmacy dispenses the medicine and charges its own
price.

Follow up in writing
Follow-up continues in a private message thread with the medical team.
What does Hi Doctor treat?
Hi Doctor covers twelve consultation categories: weight loss, hair loss, sexual health, premature ejaculation, four prevention pathways (chlamydia, urinary tract infection, emergency contraception and HIV PrEP) and four dermatology pathways (acne, rosacea, melasma and anti-ageing). MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools in another service. The Hi Doctor MCP connector lets a patient use their own Hi Doctor account from apps such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, with the permissions they approve when they connect. For a patient account the tools cover:- completing a health questionnaire one question at a time, then submitting it after the patient approves it
- creating a checkout link (payment always happens on Stripe’s page)
- reading consultations, prescriptions and payments, and reporting a suspected side effect
- reading and sending messages to the medical team
- the progress journal for weight-loss treatment
- checking, cancelling or reactivating a plan
