What does building it yourself involve?
- Recruiting doctors with the right licences for each country and category you serve, and verifying those licences.
- Clinical governance: questionnaires, protocols for when treatment is and is not appropriate, and a way for doctors to ask patients for more information.
- Prescribing compliance per country: each EU country has its own rules for issuing prescriptions and its own route for getting them to pharmacies.
- Staffing the review so that consultations do not wait, including holidays and peaks.
- Data protection for health data under the GDPR, across every system that stores patient answers and prescriptions.
What does partnering involve?
- Agreeing the partnership: categories, countries and terms, in the partner agreement and the data processing agreement (DPA). See the partnership overview.
- Building in test mode: your platform renders the questionnaire, uploads any photos the questionnaire asks for, and submits each consultation in one API call. See the Partner API overview.
- Handling webhooks for every status change and relaying the doctor’s questions to the patient.
- Paying per completed clinical review. Pricing is available on request.
How do the two compare?
When is building the better choice?
Building your own network can make sense when clinical care is the core of your product, when you need categories outside the ones Hi Doctor covers, or when you want full control over clinical protocols. Partnering makes sense when doctor review is one part of a product whose core is something else, or when you want to reach several EU countries without setting each one up yourself. The countries are listed on Partnership countries.Frequently asked questions
Do we need our own doctors to partner with Hi Doctor?
No. Hi Doctor’s EU-licensed doctors review every consultation your platform submits. You can keep your own doctors for services outside the categories in your agreement.Who writes and maintains the medical questionnaires?
Hi Doctor. Your platform reads each questionnaire’s schema through the Partner API and shows the questions in your own interface. Can we change the clinical protocol?
No. Within a partnership the reviewing doctor decides on medical grounds only, using Hi Doctor’s medical questionnaires. Full control over protocols is a reason to build your own network. How does the cost of partnering compare?
Building costs salaries, contracts and compliance work in each country. A partnership is charged per completed clinical review, and pricing is available on request.Which countries can we reach by partnering?
Any of the 27 EU member states. The countries and categories your platform offers are set in your partner agreement.Next steps
