Hi Doctor covers twelve consultation categories. They range from weight loss and hair loss to sexual health, four prevention pathways and four dermatology pathways, each with its own questionnaire and eligibility checks. In every category an EU-licensed doctor reviews the case and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Which categories does Hi Doctor cover?

What each category costs, and how plans are billed, is on Pricing. Most categories are available in every EU member state. A few treatments are limited to specific countries by local rules, and the questionnaire tells you before you pay if a treatment is not available where you live.

How does each questionnaire work?

Every questionnaire adapts to your answers, and it stops when an answer makes treatment clinically unsuitable. What each one focuses on:

• Weight loss. Height and weight, medical history, current medication and previous weight-loss treatment. Body mass index is calculated from your answers, and treatment is not offered below the clinical threshold.
• Hair loss. The pattern and history of hair loss, scalp condition, allergies and medical history. Some questions appear only where relevant.
• Sexual health and premature ejaculation. Symptoms, cardiovascular history, current medication and allergies. Certain answers rule treatment out entirely, for example nitrate medication, which interacts dangerously with some treatments.
• Prevention. Chlamydia, urinary tract infection, emergency contraception and HIV PrEP are shorter pathways, each with its own questionnaire.
• Dermatology. Acne, rosacea, melasma and anti-ageing each have their own questionnaire, and each includes a photograph of the affected skin.

What is in scope for skin consultations?

Dermatology on Hi Doctor is topical only. Anything a doctor issues on the acne, rosacea, melasma and anti-ageing pathways is a treatment applied to the skin. Practical guidance is in the health library: how to apply a topical and side effects of topical skin treatment.

What decides the outcome?

Two things, in order:

1. Eligibility rules. Contraindicated history, interacting medication or an out-of-range body mass index stop the questionnaire. Being under 18 or living outside the EU stops checkout.
2. The doctor’s review. An EU-licensed doctor then reads the case and decides whether to prescribe, to prescribe something different, to ask a question, or to decline.

Can I choose which medicine I receive?

No. You describe your situation and the outcome you want, and the reviewing doctor decides whether to prescribe, what and at which dose.

Which categories are available as a plan?

Weight loss and hair loss. Both can also be bought as a one-time consultation, and every other category is a one-off consultation.

Does Hi Doctor prescribe oral acne medication?

No. Dermatology on Hi Doctor is topical only, and severe skin disease is referred to in-person care.

Do I need photographs for a skin consultation?

Yes, the doctor assesses your skin from photographs. You can choose to send them later, and the doctor may ask for them before deciding.

What happens if I am not eligible?

The questionnaire stops and explains that it cannot continue. An ineligible result is a clinical answer, not an error to work around.

Is every treatment available in every EU country?
