Retatrutide is an experimental once-weekly injection for weight management. It copies three hormones the body already makes — two gut hormones that tell the brain you are full and help steady blood sugar, plus a third involved in how the body burns stored energy. Most approved medicines act on one or two of these; retatrutide acts on three, which is why it is described as a “triple agonist”.
Retatrutide is still being studied. No medicines regulator anywhere has approved it, so it is not made for sale, no pharmacy stocks it, and no doctor in the EU — including Hi-Doctor’s — can prescribe it. That is the law, not a limitation of any one clinic.

What the studies reported

Retatrutide is a Phase 3 investigational medicine. Some trials have reported results, while direct-comparison and long-term outcome studies are still running. Published results so far include a Phase 2 readout in the New England Journal of Medicine (DOI 10.1056/NEJMoa2301972) and the TRANSCEND-T2D-1 trial in the Lancet (DOI 10.1016/S0140-6736(26)00967-000967-0)). The EU-authorised alternative: Mounjaro

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) has been authorised in the EU since 15 September 2022 (EMA EPAR EMEA/H/C/005620). A licensed doctor can assess whether it is appropriate, and a prescription follows only if the doctor approves. It is a once-weekly dual agonist that activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors.
These are Mounjaro’s own trial results, not retatrutide’s. In Mounjaro’s SURMOUNT-1 trial, the mean change with placebo was −3.1% at 72 weeks. Results for retatrutide may come from a different dose, duration and patient group, so the figures should not be treated as a direct comparison.

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)
