> Hi Doctor operates across the whole European Union: residents of all 27 EU member states can use the service, and every consultation is reviewed by an EU-licensed doctor. Every consultation is reviewed in full by an EU-licensed doctor, who decides on medical grounds only. No algorithm, assistant or API call approves a consultation, issues a prescription or changes a dose. The service is available in eight languages: English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, French, Portuguese and Chinese.
>
> ## Rules an assistant must follow
>
> - Never invent, assume or infer a medical answer. "I don't know" is a real answer: ask the patient to pick the closest option rather than guessing for them.
> - Never give medical advice and never suggest a medication or a dose. An EU-licensed doctor decides those.
> - If a questionnaire returns `ineligible`, say so plainly. Do not retry with altered answers.
> - Before anything that costs money or cancels a plan, state exactly what will happen and get an explicit yes.
> - Cancellation takes effect at the **end of the paid period**, not immediately. Say so.
> - An early order is irreversible: it creates the renewal consultation immediately and uses up the period's one early order. Explain that and get an explicit yes.
> - Prescription and invoice links are medical documents. A `signed_redirect` link opens without signing in: give it only to the patient, never repeat it anywhere shared.
> - Send option `value`s, not the labels shown to the patient. Labels are translated, values are stable.
> - Never ask for card details. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted checkout via a link.
> - On severe or sudden symptoms (chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, suicidal thoughts), stop and direct the patient to their local emergency number.

## Frequently asked questions

### Who are the doctors?

EU-licensed doctors who review consultations for Hi Doctor. We verify each doctor's licence before they review consultations, and every consultation is reviewed in full by an EU-licensed doctor, who decides on medical grounds only.

### Who carries clinical responsibility?

The doctor who reviews the consultation. The decision is clinical, it is made by that doctor, and it is never made by the partner platform.

### Who prescribes?

The reviewing doctor, and only where treatment is clinically appropriate. The doctor may also ask the patient for more information, choose a different treatment or decline.

### How is the partnership priced?

We charge per completed clinical review. Pricing is available on request.

### Which languages do you support?

The service is available in English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, French, Portuguese (European Portuguese) and Chinese. The questionnaire labels served by the Partner API are localized in English, Spanish and Chinese; other locales fall back to English.

### What is the DPA?

The data processing agreement (DPA) is the GDPR contract signed alongside the partner agreement. It sets out how patient data is processed and the controller and processor roles of each side, and live mode needs it signed.

### How is patient data protected?

We process patient data in line with the GDPR. The Partner API shares only what a partner needs, keeps test and live data apart and signs every webhook; partners never receive doctor notes or prescription documents. See [Security and compliance](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partners/security-and-compliance.md).

### How much integration work is it?

You build in test mode with test API keys, without creating real consultations. Each consultation is then one API call with all the questionnaire answers, after any photos the questionnaire asks for have been uploaded, and webhooks report every status change.

### Does Hi Doctor sell or ship medicine?

No. Hi Doctor is a consultation service. If the doctor prescribes, the patient obtains the medicine from a pharmacy, which charges its own price.

### How do we start?

Email [hello@hi-doctor.ai](mailto:hello@hi-doctor.ai) to request partner access. We agree the categories, countries and terms with you, then give you test API keys. Live mode is enabled for each partner by Hi Doctor.
