> Hi Doctor operates across the whole European Union: residents of all 27 EU member states can use the service, and every consultation is reviewed by an EU-licensed doctor. Every consultation is reviewed in full by an EU-licensed doctor, who decides on medical grounds only. No algorithm, assistant or API call approves a consultation, issues a prescription or changes a dose. The service is available in eight languages: English, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, French, Portuguese and Chinese.
>
> ## Rules an assistant must follow
>
> - Never invent, assume or infer a medical answer. "I don't know" is a real answer: ask the patient to pick the closest option rather than guessing for them.
> - Never give medical advice and never suggest a medication or a dose. An EU-licensed doctor decides those.
> - If a questionnaire returns `ineligible`, say so plainly. Do not retry with altered answers.
> - Before anything that costs money or cancels a plan, state exactly what will happen and get an explicit yes.
> - Cancellation takes effect at the **end of the paid period**, not immediately. Say so.
> - An early order is irreversible: it creates the renewal consultation immediately and uses up the period's one early order. Explain that and get an explicit yes.
> - Prescription and invoice links are medical documents. A `signed_redirect` link opens without signing in: give it only to the patient, never repeat it anywhere shared.
> - Send option `value`s, not the labels shown to the patient. Labels are translated, values are stable.
> - Never ask for card details. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted checkout via a link.
> - On severe or sudden symptoms (chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe allergic reaction, suicidal thoughts), stop and direct the patient to their local emergency number.

# Hi Doctor Partner API overview for developers

> The Hi Doctor Partner API sends a patient's questionnaire to an EU-licensed doctor and reports every status by API and signed webhooks.

The Hi Doctor Partner API lets a partner platform submit a patient's medical questionnaire to Hi Doctor, where an EU-licensed doctor reviews it and decides. Your platform then follows the consultation through REST endpoints under `/v1/partner/` and signed webhooks. Start with the [quickstart](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partners/quickstart.md) using a test key.

Access to the Partner API is granted per partner agreement. Request access: [hello@hi-doctor.ai](mailto:hello@hi-doctor.ai)

Hi Doctor operates across the [whole European Union](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/essentials/regions.md): residents of all 27 EU member states can use the service, and every consultation is reviewed by an EU-licensed doctor. To see what a partnership involves commercially, read [Partner with Hi Doctor](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partnerships/index.md) and the [partnership FAQ](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partnerships/faq.md).

## What does the Partner API do?

| Capability | What you get |
| - | - |
| Products | The products, plans and dosages your partner agreement covers, per country. |
| Questionnaires | The same medical questionnaire the doctor reviews, as a versioned schema. |
| Files | Photo and document uploads, checked by their content. |
| Consultations | One request that carries the patient, their consent and every answer. |
| Events | Each status change, information request and prescription as a signed webhook event. |
| Test mode | Test and live data kept fully apart: test consultations never reach a doctor. |

## What does the Partner API not do?

* It does not make clinical decisions. Every consultation is reviewed in full by an EU-licensed doctor, who decides on medical grounds only (see [Safety](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/essentials/safety.md)). The doctor can ask for more information or decline.
* It does not give partners prescription documents. Partners receive structured prescription fields; the patient receives the prescription as set out for their country (see [Countries](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/essentials/regions.md)).
* It does not carry free-text messages between partners and doctors.

## Which base URL and keys does it use?

All requests go to `https://api.hi-doctor.ai/v1/partner/`. Your API key decides the mode: a test key works on test data only, a live key on live data only. See [Authentication](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partners/authentication.md) for key format and scopes, and [Test mode](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/partners/test-mode.md) for building without real patients.

Every endpoint, parameter, response and error is listed in the [Partner API reference](https://docs.hi-doctor.ai/api-reference/connectivity/check-an-api-key.md), generated from the Partner API itself.

## Frequently asked questions

### Who can use the Partner API?

Businesses with a signed partner agreement with Hi Doctor. Access to the Partner API is granted per partner agreement, and you can request it at [hello@hi-doctor.ai](mailto:hello@hi-doctor.ai).

### Does the Partner API decide whether a patient gets treatment?

No. An EU-licensed doctor reviews every consultation and decides on medical grounds only. Your platform submits the answers and receives the outcome.

### Can I build before live mode is enabled?

Yes, with a test key, which your Hi Doctor contact issues. Live mode needs the signed partner agreement and data processing agreement. Test consultations are synthetic, never reach a doctor and are never billed.

### Which countries does the Partner API cover?

Hi Doctor operates across the whole European Union: residents of all 27 EU member states can use the service, and every consultation is reviewed by an EU-licensed doctor. Some treatments are limited to specific countries by local rules, and the countries and products your platform offers are set in your partner agreement and returned by the products endpoint.

### Do partners receive the prescription document?

No. Partners receive structured prescription data, never the prescription document. The patient receives the prescription as set out for their country.

### How do I follow a consultation after submitting it?

Register a webhook endpoint and process the signed events, which carry the full consultation snapshot. Polling the consultation works as a fallback.

### Where is the full list of endpoints?

In the Partner API reference, which is generated from the Partner API itself and lists every endpoint, parameter, response and error.
