# Priligy — why Hi-Doctor doesn't prescribe it

> Priligy is a sexual health medicine Hi-Doctor doesn't prescribe today, and the EU-authorised alternatives a doctor considers instead.

Priligy (dapoxetine) is a medicine for premature ejaculation, but Hi-Doctor does not prescribe it directly today. The alternatives offered instead carry robust clinical evidence and EMA authorisation, and a licensed doctor reviews your case to decide which one is appropriate.

## What it is

Priligy is a sexual health medicine whose active ingredient is dapoxetine, a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor developed specifically for premature ejaculation. It is taken on demand, 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity, and is authorised in several EU countries. Although Priligy is associated with sexual health, it is not the first-line medicine Hi-Doctor prescribes — the doctor reviews your case and chooses between the EU-authorised alternatives below; if none is safe for you, they say so at no cost.

## Why Hi-Doctor doesn't prescribe it

A licensed doctor decides case by case, and Hi-Doctor never prescribes without evaluation. The doctor reviews your questionnaire, rules out contraindications, and explains the available options clearly. If your case is not eligible for any of them, the doctor tells you at no extra cost.
